Nurses have given a lot during this pandemic and are still working day and night like our other pandemic heroes. Its our duty to look into for them. Let’s discuss the points one by one:

No matter how better you found a job if the work environment is not good you can’t do your work with full commitment. There needs to be a employer friendly environment and must be taken care of the safety and security of nurses. A place with good working environment provides a sense of responsibility and then everyone can work with full professionalism, efficiency and transparency. It improves the relations among hierarchy and no one feels like separated.

2.      Machinery/material

The availability of supplies and life savior machinery are necessary. Generally, at the time of requirement staff claims that they are crippled by unavailability and insufficiency of certain drugs and equipment like oxygen or cotton wool like essential supplies. It is the duty of hospital staff to maintain sufficient supplies of the raw material and important machinery for a smooth functioning.

3.      Team work

Senior must motivate all the staff to work synchronously in groups. They must teach them the importance of team work like how team work can impact the care of a patient and what are its positive effects. A better team always leads to positive result.

4.     Recruitment and retention policy

Intelligently designed policies are very necessary to make a workplace going. Recruitment policy is one of them which should be followed strictly to make an hospital a much better among others.

5.      Workload should be balanced

Every responsible person should look for the proper working and duties that a nurse needs to do. Provide them proper working environment in order to get the maximum output. There should not be multitasking at a single time. No one can do that! To carb this problem more nursing staff is required at the hospitals to maintain nurse to patient ratio.

6.      Research based study

Based on new theories and researches a nurse need to be updated. What they have studied during their education must be researched whether it applies in real life or not. New day by day discoveries are making new theories and to stay aware about them is very important. It will definitely increase the knowledge and create a positivism.
